Studying at ISPA

Located in the historic district of Alfama, one of Lisbon’s most iconic neighbourhoods, ISPA has been a pioneering institution in higher education since its foundation in 1962.

As Portugal’s first university institution dedicated to Psychological and Behavioural Sciences, ISPA has built a strong reputation nationally and internationally for the quality of its teaching, research and community engagement. Language Requirements

All degree programmes at ISPA are taught in Portuguese.

Applicants are therefore required to demonstrate a minimum level of B1 proficiency in Portuguese, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), and must submit a recognised Portuguese Language Certificate as evidence of their language competence.

Students wishing to strengthen their Portuguese language skills prior to the start of their studies may apply for the Portuguese Language Course. Applications can be submitted using the form made available by the International Office during the application period.
