O Ispa – Instituto Universitário de Ciências Psicológicas, Sociais e da Vida lança um aviso de abertura de procedimento concursal internacional para o recrutamento de um(a) Investigador(a) Auxiliar na área científica de Psicologia, subárea de Psicologia Cognitiva. A posição será ocupada em regime de contrato de trabalho sem termo, ao abrigo do Código do Trabalho, com dedicação exclusiva. O concurso insere-se na 1.ª edição do programa FCT Tenure (Aviso n.º 02/C06-i06/2024) e tem como referência interna ISPA: Investigador/09/CT/2025.

O prazo para a apresentação de candidaturas decorre entre 30 de abril e 28 de maio de 2025, até às 23h00 (hora de Lisboa). A candidatura deve ser submetida por via eletrónica para o endereço: candidaturas.investigadores@ispa.pt, indicando no campo “Assunto” a referência do concurso.

A posição integra-se na Unidade de Investigação William James Center for Research (WJCR), e prevê a atribuição da “Cátedra WJCR: Investigador Auxiliar em Psicologia Cognitiva”. O perfil procurado deverá centrar-se em investigação independente sobre cognição social e mecanismos cognitivos específicos. O(a) candidato(a) deverá apresentar um currículo sólido com produção científica relevante, experiência de docência e orientação em vários ciclos de estudos, e domínio da língua inglesa.

Entre as responsabilidades previstas estão: desenvolvimento de projetos competitivos de investigação, publicação em revistas internacionais, colaboração interinstitucional, orientação de estudantes de mestrado e doutoramento, lecionação e participação em atividades de disseminação científica e valorização do conhecimento. A atividade letiva associada poderá ir até quatro horas semanais.

Ispa opens international call for Assistant Researcher in Cognitive Psychology under FCT Tenure programme

Ispa – Instituto Universitário de Ciências Psicológicas, Sociais e da Vida has launched an international call for applications to recruit one Assistant Researcher in the scientific field of Psychology, with a specialisation in Cognitive Psychology. This full-time position is offered under private law and with exclusive dedication, as part of the 1st edition of the FCT Tenure programme (Notice No. 02/C06-i06/2024). The internal reference for this recruitment is: Investigador/09/CT/2025.

Applications are open from 30 April to 28 May 2025 (until 23:00, Lisbon time) and must be submitted electronically via email to: candidaturas.investigadores@ispa.pt, with the reference number included in the subject line.

The successful candidate will join the William James Center for Research (WJCR) and take up the “WJCR Chair: Assistant Researcher in Cognitive Psychology” (reference 2023.14590.TENURE.009). The post involves developing independent research on social cognition and specific cognitive processes, and contributing to the strategic direction of the WJCR’s Social, Cognitive, and Applied Neuroscience research area.

Responsibilities include securing competitive research funding, publishing in peer-reviewed international journals, collaborating with academic and non-academic partners, supervising master’s and doctoral students, teaching, and engaging in science communication and public outreach. The role may include up to four hours of teaching per week.

Funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), this call is part of a broader initiative to strengthen Portugal’s scientific research career pathways.
