My research is focused on intertemporal decision making in general, and more specifically in planning and saving decisions for retirement. I am particularly interested in the effect of financial literacy and other variables such as age, motivation, and fear of aging, and how they influence the perceived planning costs. I am also concerned about the effect of languages, particularly how their different future time reference influences these decisions as well as other intertemporal choices. The main purpose of my research to improve the development of effective savings incentives and financial literacy programs.
