Our work is focused on the interplay between causal and functional analysis of animal behaviour. Most of the questions are centered on issues of hormones and social ethology. Our approach is a mixture of field observations and experimental manipulation and although most of the work has been centered on fish, we have also been studying species from other taxa such as fiddler crabs, birds and Humans.
