Following its homologation by the Directorate-General of Higher Education (DGES) under the terms of the Bologna Declaration, ISPA’s Integrated Master’s Degree course became available this academic year (2006/2007). This is a particularly significant event, inasmuch as ISPA is one of only three Portuguese teaching institutions – and the only private and cooperative one – with a homologated Integrated Master’s course in this specific scientific area. Changes to the Psychology study cycle. On 12 September 2006 the Directorate-General of Higher Education (DGES) issued a Ministerial Order changing the study cycle for Psychology at ISPA to an integrated master’s degree configuration with a single 5-year cycle like that employed by the most prestigious European Universities in the psychological field.

Free-attendance courses for graduate improvement and complementary. This academic year (2006/07) ISPA is offering graduates in areas such as Psychology, Education, Health and so on, the opportunity to return to the university under a free attendance system that allows them to take one or more of the units on the attached list.

| External Assessment at ISPA |

In 2004/05 ISPA’s Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology (in all, 14 different bachelor’s degrees) were evaluated as part of the Higher Education (Public, Private and Cooperative) Assessment Process. The evaluation was conducted by an External Evaluation Committee (CAE) composed of four Portuguese and Spanish university professors and one specialist in Psychology. The results placed ISPA among the three best Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology in Portugal.
